My wife wants to buy a towable for more fun on the water. We have a 2002 310 Sundancer. Never did this before with this boat. Any input as to the best attachment points for the tow rope, tow speed/rpm etc...would be helpful. I'm assuming towing will burn a boatload of fuel! Do you get up on plane or just plow around in that inefficient power zone?

depends what and how many you are towing and for what purpose. rear cleats will hold no problem. i'd use a bridle to center the towable though. you will not want to do it for long or often after the first fill up..thats how much gas you will use.

We tried it just for fun when I first bought my 330DA. Yes, it can be done and getting the tube over the wake can be fun. Or it can hurt because the wake is a little big for that type of thing. Mainly, it doesn't work well because the turning radius is pretty wide, so you need a lot of space where there's little traffic. Also, you will burn a lot of fuel from the constant going on and off plane.
