I find it odd that most can't see the thought process here. Dems are insinuating that minorities aren't good enough to make it on their own where Republicans are saying 'sure you can, you are just as good as everyone else' yet the Republicans are viewed as the bad guys?
Years ago my brother-in-law took the PA State Police test. At that time a white male needed something like a 92 to pass where minorities only needed like 80 or something. He scored 90 and failed. About 5 years later his brother took it and at that time white males only needed like 80 to pass but minorities needed a higher score because at that time they had more than their 'quota' of minorities. He passed and got the job.
Not saying one was better than the other. BIL went on to the Palm Beach County Sheriffs dept then back up here where he just retired. His brother retired from PSP a few years ago. My point is in neither instance was the best person hired for the job. It's double edged. In either case you will never hire the best candidates. I'm sure Anthony scored better than some that got hired and I'm sure Jimmy scored lower than some that didn't.
