yep our little city in arkansas got nailed by a tornado thursday night. we are fine, hit 7 houses from us, we have a few limbs scattered about, but thats it. several houses destroyed, howver, no one injured, a friggin miracle. hit at 10p.m. we just got power and internet back! not complaining, we still have our house. heres a link to my photo show.

damn scary. not sure it sounded like freight train, but it sure had an eerie whooshing sound. yep, hope this is the last one we experience.
 
I am so glad you are ok. That is the one thing I hate most about Southern Missouri, I swear we live right in Tornado alley. It's scary stuff.
 
Stan...Little Rock here also. We've got an older 340 Sundancer we keep at River Valley Marina off of Pinnacle Valley Road. My dock buddy and I had a party deck installed in the slip between our boats and it was completed Thursday. Of course we had to go break it in Thrusday night so we road the first round of storms out at the dock. I had my weather radio station on as we knew there were some storms coming, but the only thing we heard was flood warnings on the White River. The storm came on so fast there was no time to flee and had no indication of a tornado until one of the residents who has cable TV informed us but it was too late as the sirens started going off. Nothing like hearing the sirens blare when your on a dock with no place to run. From the path, it ended up crossing the river about 5 miles east of us. When the first break came, we jumped in the car and hauled you know what to the house and then the second wave came through. No damage for us as we live out west on Hwy 10.
 
Glad to hear you were all okay. We too had a close experience in Memphis a couple months ago. We had a tornado hit less than a mile away from us. Since I have lived in Memphis, the locals all said that Tornado's had not touched down in Memphis in the last 20 years. This time, we had 20 tornado's touch down in the city..
Crazy.. I never saw weather like this out west...
 
It came right over are house but luckly did not touch down, it was the same one that did touch down in the Little Rock area. We just got a lot of large hail and wind and water, lots of water. Went out sunday and checked are boat at Denby point and all was ok, the lake is really up now and a lot of floaties.
 
scary close.. glad to hear you all are unscathed. seems it all started up just a bit east of us. We survived last nights 'fracus' as well. Wife was at the lakehouse with the puppies and when they headed for their cage, she went to the 'fraidy hole' herself. One more round for tonight it looks like and should clear up by the weekend :)
 
From one cat to another....glad everything is ok for you. How many lives does the leave you with? I've used up a few of my nine over the years!
 
sitting here watching the weather, sheesh, we are gonna have storms hanging on until like saturday. and then of course the temps will drop. planning on a weekend at the lake, rafting up with several other sea rays. water is so high, not sure we can even get to our dock.
 
where do you dock at tawcat? We are at Denby and the ramp to are slip we usually have to walk down too and last weekend it was almost a walk up to the dock, the lake was really up and a lot of logs floating around. so if you go out just be careful, a lot of stuff floating around out there.
 
I have lived through 2 myself, one while stranded in a car. They scare the crap out of me. I wonder if your weather is coming our way?

we dock at mtn harbor. wwe usually walk down the ramp to the dock, however it is under water. we'll take a chance heading to the boat this weekend. friend is towing his small boat so we have a way to get to and from our dock!!!!!

looking at radar this morning it looks like its heading east. my mom in alabama said they are expecting bad weather tomorrow, i'm sure its this storm.
