Top Gun 2

There’s no way in hell I’m going send my hard earned dollars to him via this movie. .

Lately, ive been feeling that about Hollywood in general..

I wouldn’t cross the street to piss on Tom Cruise if he was on fire. There’s no way in hell I’m going send my hard earned dollars to him via this movie. He’s a piece of shit and honestly, from what I’ve learned about some of you from other threads, I’m surprised you’d spend money on him too.
I try to separate reality from fiction, in reality I can’t stand Tom cruise, but in fiction (his movies) I enjoy his acting ability. Now I will say, I have never spent a dime in a theater for one of his movies, but I do enjoy them on regular tv.

Then you are not all in…. Tom Selleck selling all these reverse mortgages to the old people that believe his sick sad sweater commercials are real and give away their homes…..that is so sick at so many levels
So no can’t enjoy his fiction

As I said, I have never seen him peddling reverse mortgages, I had no idea he did that.

I am not going to defend the reverse mortgage business, I have only known 1 person who has gone this route, my neighbor. My neighbor was a mother and son, when we moved to our house he was probably 40, and she was middle 50's, he worked for the county and as the years went on his health declined, and in his middle 50's he was forced to retire. Now his mom was close to 70 by then and money was tight, so he told me one day that he had gotten a reverse mortgage to help with expenses. I really had no Idea what they were, and he kind of laid out the jest that the bank paid them monthly to buy back their house, but they got to live there. Any way another long story, he passed away very suddenly not long after that, well his mom live another dozen - 15 years in her home. She passed away just this past year, and the bank is gaining possession of the house from her granddaughter and her husband (both pieces of crap) In the lawsuit against Ella Maes estate says they are owed way more than the house is worth. It is supposed to go to a sheriffs sale at some point to recover what they can. This reverse mortgage allowed her to live out her life in her home, and get paid by the bank, It worked out very well for them, not so much for the bank.

Edit: Sorry to hijack the thread, back to the Topgun topic

That's a fine real life story JayhawkCurtis. There are many more examples. It's a product that "works" for many seniors, especially those who have limited other assets, or do not feel obligated to leave assets to heirs.

What ever….Tom still sucks. Reverse mortgages rip you off….you can sugar coat the crap out of it but in the end you lose minimum 40% depending on your life consultant could be more.
