I will become the owner of an almost-new '07 340DA. The entire purchase process took about 5 weeks and a number of back-and-forth negotiations with the bank that owns the boat.

Thanks to those that provide advice along the way; I hope I do not become too annoying as I ask noobie questions in the future. I hope to post pics soon.

I have a feeling that several of us having very close pictures. We absolutely love ours. I'm sure you will too. I would love to get into diesels some day. We may even be ready to sooner than later. This boat is too perfect to move up/out. Enjoy it.

You know, its a little odd. The 340 DA is SeaRay's most popular express cruiser, yet, there is no thread dedicated thread to it on the site (that I'm aware of). What's the deal? Are we 340 owners a little more laissez-faire?

Pictures - Congratulations

It is a very hard to find thread since the search function doesn't recognize a lot of words and the threads title is missing the word "official"

Congrats also & welcome. Because I should be doing something else I've chosen to spend 30 mins composing this tidbit. There goes my ADHD again.

There are 1 or 2 poor light switch designs in the 340 depending in your have the factory big flat screen TV by the stairs. At least there were in '05 & I don't think SR changed their wiring design. I was able to get my dealer to correct under warrenty.

1. The forward berth reading lights need the foot lights on to operate. Fixed by wiring to the hot side of the foot light switch under the AC control panel.

2. If no big TV, the head lights req the 2 low profile lights between the stairs & elec panel to be on thus lighting up the whole boat when someone goes to the head at night. Fixed by wiring head lights to hot side of MASTER light switch at stairway.

Suggestions - search on user names Hampton & sferguson727 & read their pertinent 340 posts. Read all of fwebster posts. Lastly Four Suns is the Dr House of CSR, highly antagonistic & very entertaining if he's ripping someone else.
