Help/Advice please. Two weekends ago, we had a "clog" in our head system which required the use of plunger. Worked well for the rest of the weekend.

We return to the boat this weekend and the head won't work at all. The breaker trips within 2 seconds of a reset.

Any ideas on the problem?

You have an overload. Does the vacuum generator's motor turn at all?

My guess would be you have something jammed in the pick-up tube in the vacuum tank or in the bellows itself and the motor is overloaded as it won't turn... Could be something else though...

That's the problem with the "plunger" advice. If you have a clog between the toilet and the vacuum tank, a plunger just pushes it into the vacuum tank and then you have to get the object from the vacuum tank to the holding tank (through a pick up tube, duckbills and a bellows pump) and the openings are smaller and can cause more damage...

Congratulations and break out the tool boxes. You need to disassemble the the vacuum pump and clean 'er out.

yeah... If I was wingless, I would say to plug the vent on the holding tank and hook the pump out to it... Then not only do you get to still take apart the vacuum tank and get the clog out, you'll get to put a shiny new holding tank in after you implode the current one you have.

Never be afraid to flush her more than once!! And stay away from hot wings and beer. Oh wait, that was more of a personal experience.

Do this early in the morning and not after drinking. Get ready....it's gonna be really gross.
