Hey everyone,

Has anyone switched out their stock toilet for something else? It seems that my toilet bracket has snapped off (not the bracket but the toilet part that connects to the bracket) but I am thinking about switching out the toilet for a better model. What do you guys suggest? I do have a pumpout on my boat.

What do you have now? The more info you provide the better answers and advice you'll get.

I had the same problem with the stock Sealand porta-potti the boat came with. First the flush apparatus broke with the first time use and my wife filled the floor. That was fun......not. Next she sat on it crooked while putting her make-up on and and broke the support hinge connecting bracket. Just replace it you will be better off.

Funny to see Scott1 in the toilet forum he must be preparing himself for next years woes. Just submit Scott and buy the 260.

Thanks Kurt for the PM.

Todd, I have the stock crappy sani-potti. The bracket sucks as it broke very easily.

Im trying to.......just cannot find one with the gen and ac and without an arch that will trade me right now. Lots of hits on the fountain in last few days....so hopefully I can remove that from the equation. Trust me...i want this to be a done deal soon.

Ah. We have the Vacu-Flush and it's been a really nice feature.
Do you have the pump out feature/hose on it?

Our boats have a porta-potti connected to a deck pumpout on the starboard stearn. I really did not fully understand the gravity of the situation when I bought my boat regarding a vacuum flush head. Let me tell you I will never buy another boat without one as the wife is leading the complaining. The replacement I have mentioned is a nice upgrade though.

If the hose is there, other than the expense have you considered adding the VacuFlush?

I did consider this. I would have to add the holding tank and other parts which ran to a tune of about $1250. I checked into MM adding it and they quoted me I believe $2000. I am just a working class man and I insist on living within my means. I just bought a 10K pound boat lift and changed docks so it is a priority thing and it is way down on the list. I think I will change boats before I add much more expensive options to my boat. I see a older 260 or 280 in my future.

That makes sense to me.
