Well it's official, I am no longer a Sea Ray owner. It's been since 1988 since I've been able to say that. Multiple times owning two at a time while making the transition.
I leave with a pretty heavy heart even though the future has the potential to bring a whole new level of boating into our lives. I sold my 420DA because we had purchased a small place in Florida that we hope to frequent more and more over the years, especially during the summer months when we would normally be using our local boat the most. And as I've said all along, the 420 gasser was perfect for lake use but not ideal for ocean use so I didn't even consider moving it down there.
There's still a chance that I end up with another Sea Ray but I'll be looking for 2015+ boats in the 30'+ range with outboards and that's pretty slim picking for SR. I've been on the 2017+ 320 Sundancer and wasn't too impressed. Right now the Formula 330 and 350 CBR's tickle my fancy quite a bit but I'm not sure I want to swing that kind of check yet. And who knows, I may change my mind tomorrow anyway. I'm in absolutely no hurry to jump into something as we have an '11 4Winns H240 to tool around in while we kick tires (props).
I can tell you that I've found no other manufacturer forums as active, helpful and inviting as Club Sea Ray. I fully expect to continue to lurk and even offer insight where I may be able to help.
I want to thank all of you for the knowledge, advise, humor and comradery that's been shared with me over the years.
