I will be hauling for the first time this winter. We've been on the boat since May bringing her up from FL. We're storing the boat on the hard this winter on the Chesapeake and will splash in May and take her home.

I've heard differing opinions on whether to shrink wrap or not. What do you northern guys think. And what about mildew if wrapping.

I say wrap. A buildup of snow on your deck (with dozens of penetrations....bow rail stanchions, etc.) freezing and thawing over the course of layup, promotes trouble.

I never wrap. just build a snow frame and use a tarp. Gets enough air to stop mold, and I can work on her during the off season, also-reusable tarp, better for the environment. All my friends do wrap though. There are good and bad point to each method.

Gonna need a heck of a tarp for a 355Ac....and a well engineered frame.
