I read a few forums on broken horns out there. If you don't have the money to spend on an expensive air horn, Autozone sells the exact electronic horn that SeaRay factory installs for under 20.00.

Will do. I took mine apart and cleaned it. Put it back together and now I can get two little grunts out of it before silence. Hey, before that it was completely silent.

My horns were pathetic for a while, now they are just dead. I'll have to take a look at the ones from Autozone. Do you have a part number?

Mine sounds like a goose with sinusitis.... Might have to check out these Autozone units. I got a look at mine from withing the anchor locker and it looked pretty corroded.

Don't you people realize that you are hurting some Sea Ray Engineer's feelings by picking on those duck horns. It took him a long time to figure out that the nasal quack of a duck could be heard for miles and miles and people always get out of your way when the are on the floor laughing their ass off at you! :smt043

I was out last week cruising up the river when a small boat cruised past us on the port side. As we approached a point, the little boat started pinching me off, so i gave him a short toot on the horn, he didn't hear it, then longer, and longer... still never heard it. My horn works fine, but it is somewhat directional as it is on the starboard side of the bow. When you consider how much noise there is when travelling faster than an idle in a boat, it really is inadequate. I bought an air horn... Next time, I'll be heard...

This was a great tip.. The screw on top of their horn is not the same size, but can easily modify the bracket mounting hole to accommodate. Horn works great.

I hated the sea-ray horn in my 240 Sundeck. It is actually made by a vender like everthing else, West Marine sells the exact horn. But across the web at Overtons they sell a dual horn kit.

I was able to mount the two horns back to back in the factory hole, and then covered the hole with the original stainless plate from SeaRay. Looks stock, but now it sounds like my F250.

My horn sounds like a 1962 buick with a weak battery.

What air horn did you buy? Where did you buy it? Are you happy with it?

i purchased a portable air horn from west marine... replaceable cans
