Gonna make the big step to diesels this weekend. Bringing home a 1999 Carver Voyager 450 from Kentucky. A nice little 180 mile jaunt. The broker (who has experience in this particular boat) will be assisting be in keeping between the reds and greens. This boat kinda 'came' to us, after looking at various Sedan Bridges and other Carvers. Patience pays. Or costs, depending on perspective..
Best part is that the owner wanted to trade boats, since he didn't need a big boat any more. So it all fell together. He agreed to fix everything found in the vessel and engine surveys, so that's all good, too. To me, it's like being on the bridge of an aircraft carrier ('Negative, Maverick, the pattern is full.'). All in all, we're mighty excited about the new 'Lake House'...and all the gadgets on it...
