Shaft seals on my 380da were in need of replacement after one of the cooling lines became clogged and overheated the seal. After doing alot of research, I found out that 9 years on the original set they should be replaced. That being said, I looked at other brands as well as the OEM Tides Marine. The newer Tides model seals have a crossover coolong line set-up in the event one line gets clogged or you limp in on one engine, your shaft seal is still being lubricated.
I called Tides Marine up and he said that any Sea Ray owner who wants to upgrade to the newer design, he will give you a 2 for 1 deal. Pay for 1 shaft seal and get the other free! He will honor that special till the end of the year. Just got mine! He even through in the crossover cooling kit for free!
