ran over to Pib today ...incredible weather. No one here, just had a great day... insane lunch in town at the Reel House and an incredible rib dinner cooked at the dock next to the boat and then this pic of a sunset to top it off ..just as we were finishing dinner on the back of the boat.... it doesn’t get better than this as a boater... cheers you guys

Hell YES!

We’re getting out and about, we’re coming back.

Beautiful pics! I splash tomorrow and hope it's a good weather day for the 2.5hr cruise to our home port. Sore tonight from my 2nd day of getting the boat prepped and was going to have ribs for dinner as well. Didn't. Was just too pooped and with it getting late we just grabbed some Micky D's for the ride home. Maybe ribs on the boat tomorrow night... (would be nice to get another sunset like today after a good meal too!)

So happy for you guys out there that have been arbitrarily deprived of access to your boats to see you get out and enjoy the water!
I've enjoyed having Thursday as my Friday for the last several years that I've been teaching at the college. We have been teaching Mon Thru Thurs and its been great. Now our schedule in the post Covid era we decided to go 5 days a week which will shorten the semester by 3 weeks in case the Virus lives up to the dire predictions and rebounds this fall. Bright side is we get two months winter break but I will miss my three day weekends for sure. Not gonna complain too much though, I still have my job, I have the summer free and teaching beats wrenching for sure!
Enjoy your truncated season to the max!

Every day is my weekend now.
My wife is still working 4 days a week, which sometimes kind of gets in the way of my leisure activities, so I’m seriously thinking about giving her an ultimatum. Either retire, or I’m going to start doing a lot more of the things I want to do (travel, etc,) without her.

I retired 5 years ago and my wife went out and got a job .... she hadn’t worked in 25 years... So I did my own thing for a while and ended up buying a small business to keep me out of the bars :)

My wife retired two years ago at the age of 53. We had piled up a nice wad of cash to get us to the finish line so with my four day schedule and summers off life is good. She went from an extensive travel career (teaching lending compliance law to the banking industry nation wide) to sitting at home watching ID TV. She is bored to tears so she is about to accept a job that will be bankers hours five days a week with a 60 plus mile commute thru the belly of Sacramento! Some of us are just wired to work I guess! I figure boat time will go down a bit but at the same time those hours will be more appreciated!
Cheers

All I can say is I'm envious right now.

I started a graduate program and my first course is over the summer session. I'm working all day from home, then shifting right into studying for my engineering economic analysis course. No skipping out to boat for me right now.
