I was wondering if anyone has added thru hull/captains choice exhaust to any of thier Rays.

I may need to put a new engine in and thought it would be the easiest time to consider it.

Anyone have experience? thoughts?

I added Merc's Silent Thunder system to the 260 in my signature. I did it before installing the 502. It isn't very complicated.

Does it sound good? I am waiting to see what the verdict is on my engine tomorrow before i decide what to do.

Did you do it yourself or have someone else do it?

I added it last year. Best thing I've added to my boat thus far.

There are a few other youtuber's that have added Corsa that have replied to my youtube video comments, so check those out as well.

I had the dealership handle the whole installation. From measurements, to ordering, to installation. I spent right around 3k for everything.

A 502 EFI with EMI aluminum headers running through the transom sounds great!

Mine came with it and I love it. Really sounds cool when we're getting ready to take off. It's loud and obnoxious, just like me. I understand that it's better to take off with it through hull, but I wouldn't know any better either way. I can say that the boat is significantly more quiet with it off.

Obviously the 350 isn't a big block, but it will still sound awful darn good! I would definitely recommend the "Captain's Call" as opposed to a straight thru.

But, just to be safe, check your state laws. In PA - wait, this is a really fine example of government's "logic" - it is illegal to have a Captain's Call. Straight thru is legal. Also legal is the system that uses a pressure plate to divert automatically. PA outlawed the "switch" that let's you be in control of diverting the exhaust. It goes back many years to the automobile side of things - people bypassing their mufflers/cats.

So, you're allowed to have a straight-thru or a system that does the switching for you, but if you can control it yourself... BANG - ticket! Ridiculous.

Thanks all for the input... i think i would over-all like to have it. However, i know i would not want a full time thru hull. Also, I have just been informed i will need a new engine as mine ran lean and dropped a couple of hand grenades inside. sooo, i am sure i will get to spend plenty of money in the next couple weeks.
