hey GA2. If you put which Sundancer you own and all the specs (engine type, size, etc) in your signature or in the body of the post, im sure you will get the info you need. Without it, it would be hard to recommend anything other than the basics (fuel filters, spark plugs, etc).

Seems like most new people to the site don't fill in the info.
Maybe Jim can change the sign in screen when you first register to make you fill in info before you can proceed?

I have what you might call a dead spot (I prefer to call it a flat spot) comming off of idle. It is most noticable when you apply the throttle abruptly off idle. Also, if I hold the throttle constant at the rpm that produces this flat spot, the boat seems to be running on seven cylinders. I have talked to two different Mercury certified techs about this and they both told me that many 350 mags experience this problem. Since I have had the problem since the boat was new, and because it has not changed or gotten worse in over 240 hours of use, I just ignore it.

mike, thanks im new here i guess i guess i left out the important info about the type of boat i have. well its a 2006 260 6.2 when i slowly throttle up from idle which is at about 600rpm it seems to be dead and then jumps to about up to about 1000 or 1200 rpm from that point on its fine.

This sounds just like what I described I experience in my earlier reply. Has it always been like that or is this a new problem?

The Synchronising between the IAC valve and the throttle body butterfly valve is out. Just have to adjust the butterfly valve open a tad more. The computer, thru the IAC valve will bring the idle speed back again to 600RPM.
