Hello fellow water enthusiasts!
just enrolled onto the forum which looks to be an invaluable asset and hope a few folks can provide me some guidance and share their experience with me. Currently I own an '03 Chaparral 265SSI w/496Mag of which I only have good things to say, other than dealing with some corrosion issues on the Bravo III outdrive. I live on the Chesapeake in what is best described as brackish water; even with a lift at my home (and several years experience thru college working my summers at a marina replacing/dealing with outdrive issues), am looking to both move up to a more comfortable boat to spend several days at a pop exploring this beautiful body of water and to get away from I/O's! Have read several postings on the subject of I/O vs. V-drives, and feel comfortable with my intended uses for the V-drive..............so, with that background, the 2001-02 310 looks like a very functional boat with nice lines and layout which I think looks to be a winner. I am familiar with the water ingestion issue on the inboard setup, outside of that, are there other issues (or joys :smt001) current or previous owners would like to impart......greatly appreciate your thoughts, experiences, option opinions, etc. thanx again - Oren

SR 310 is a very solid boat. SR change the exhaust set-up, I believe around 2002 to eliminate water injestion. I owned a 310, took a trip from Wrightsville Beach, NC to Annapolis, MD and back with 3 adults on-board. The boat ran well with no problems. Some engine room maintenace items can be challenge, typical with all small inboards.
