Those of you that travel great distance to boat

I kind of have it pretty good. 15 minutes to boat in Boston Suburb. Boat stays in fresh water not tide and then I boat out of Boston Harbor (getting thru harbor from boat takes 45 min) but better than driving. Cape in 2-5 hours by boat or just stay local most weekends. Then back to river to flush out, all for $1000/year winter and summer storage. I wouldn't be boating if not for this situation with one in college and one not far behind.

3 1/2 hours - 240 miles each way. We have a condo and our boat stays next door in a high and dry. Don't own a trailer. Plenty to see on our lake. Only problem is there are usually tons of trucks on the highway we take and it is curvy and hilly. The drive can be nerve wracking, but makes the relaxation better.

We drive 20 minutes in traffic.
It's normally in the water fueled up and waiting for us.
