This must be the best place to fish

Are you kidding me? That was friggin awesome!! I think I could have even come home with a boat load of fish!! Why do they jump like that?

actually, that is a problem. I think they are non native species. Not think about traveling up river at any speed and getting hit by one of those.

here you go

Yeah, that's funny stuff alright. If those bastards make it to Lake Michigan, it's going to cost the fishing industry billions, as well as make combat helmets stylish attire on the water.

It's a F'ing disaster, is what it is.

Scott, are they trying to do anything to kill them off or otherwise prevent them from making their way up there? Would they even survive in the Great Lakes climate and water temps?

I had no idea what a nemesis these things are. Are they edible? If not they should try and harvest mass quantities and turn them into fertilizer before it's too late!

Every year on the Mississippi River they have an "Asian Carp Roundup" (they came from China) in which the person that kills the most wins. It has become a big problem with people getting really hurt. These fish were in farmed catfish ponds to help eat algae on the bottom of the ponds. They escaped during floods a few years back and with no natural predators they have exploded crowding out native species.

Not good. And some wonder why Alaskans are so against farmed raised Atlantic salmon on the west coast of BC.
