Do you have the software to make them?

Yup. I start with a picture and convert to vector graphics. That is what takes time. But once I have the vector graphics converting to embroidery is not too bad. It might take a couple of sew outs before I get it right. The Crab balloon started with these pictures. I think I caught it quite well.
