My son in law got tested for the heck of it and has the antibodies, so the rest of them got tested. Both granddaughters have the antibodies but my daughter doesn't. They have no idea when they were 'sick'. I definitely had enough exposure to them, don't know if I was 'sick' or not.

I get a kick out of that ol'crusty crotch. Since July she's been saying her gazillion dollar package is all about the children, the babies, and our poor 'workers', we got to put food on the table....ummm, Nancy you nasty bitch...they'll all starve to death waiting on you.:mad:

Same here, my family has been exposed multiple times that we know of recently and nothing. I still believe we got it last Feb/March. We traveled everywhere and I had all the symptoms for almost a month including loss of taste.

I'll be up in your neck of the woods Thursday. I hope I don't get it! :p Unfortunately I don't know what's open to eat and have a couple of beers. Looks like Portside's might be, otherwise it's Ashland.
 
unfortunetly we here in germany are approaching 500 deaths a day although we since weeks have a very strict lockdown for private contacts , closed restaurants , strict mask mandate , basicly any freetime activity is forbidden BUT the industry AND the schools remain open .

500 deaths / day are in relation to german vs us population roughly the same amount you count every day .

my conclusion seeing this is :

- you cannot really control an airborne respiratory virus by e.g just closing pups and private contacts when dozens of millions meet everyday in schools and massive companies like volkswagen or mercedes .

i,m not mandating closing schools or mercedes but i start to give trump a point :

either you are ready to shutdown your country including schools and industry or you can surrender to corona and let it happen . these days in germany clearly show that introducing private restrictions while schools remain open is an useless pain for private life without a significant change on this pandemic .

biden will fortunetly run into a vaccine which will be a game changer but this is only his luck because its ready just now , he would not be able to do significantly better than trump unless he is ready to shutdown america .

should trump have lost the vote due to his corona handling its not fully fair in this regards i have to admit.

Do you have any evidence that outbreaks and spread are occurring at schools and massive companies? That is not something we are seeing here in the US.

i do not have any proven evidence , in fact german goverment tells us the same ( that schools are not relevant )

but :

very strict private meeting lockdowns in geemany appear to have almost zero effect to bring the numbers down . since most people here obey to the rules common sense dictates it must be the schools/public transport/ industry since everything else is forbidden in germany .

The have evidence with regard to the schools -- even Pope Fauci now says keep the schools open. I know in industry, at least in IL, they have distanced work stations, used barricades, and PPE to prevent spread. Now public transportation -- that's a virus farm on good days, let alone with covid-19.

You're right. Either they don't know, or they are not telling us.

lets for a second assume the schools are indeed a major factor in the spread - any goverment might have very good reasons to not tell the thruth due to following reasons :

- most children in school age have parents in working age . so closing schools in germany for about 12 million children means you have to put at least one parent out of work to take care of the kids . millions of workers are off work and you have to pay for the income loss when its a goverment mandate , further you have a severe loss in economical strenght
- every loss of education will mean lower graduates , so less paid future jobs and less taxes to the state over the entire working life of the next generation. remember the children of today are the future of every country tomorrow.
- no chancellor or education minister will put himself infront the cameras and tell the parents he is unable to educate their children in an efficient way for a bright future if he wants to be reelected.
-at least in germany there are simply not enough electronic devices to switch to a temporary distance learning and no education minister will put himself infront the cameras to tell the parents he f***ed up the entire summer and failed to prepare if he wants to be reeelected
- no chancellor or education minister will put himself infront the camera and tell "yes , its the schools but we cannot close them due to above reasons so we accept deaths" .

soo... just tell its not the schools.

Well there is ample data, from all over the globe, that schools are not causing serious breakouts.
 
Just read where Biden will ask us all to wear mask’s for 100 days. Hmmmm!
