California is all but bankrupt:

Illinois' finances are in the toilet:

The chickens are finally coming home to roost on decades of liberal feel-good spending. Can you think of two greater bastions of liberalism than California or Illinois? Subsidizing non-producers in the name of "helping" them has brought us this - an unsustainable welfare state. I know all states are struggling in this recession, but these two colossal failures are sinking faster and farther than any others. And, the current Administration would have our country go down the same path!

Sorry, but I just had to get this off my chest!

you're right. The only problem is the liberals will realize fast that it is sustainable with a 50% flat tax or some other crazy tax scheme.

Our saving grace as a democracy/republic may be that we have our distinct states and they have their own distinct governments. Let the liberal ones fail in order to prove, once again, that a democracy can only last about 200 years before the public realizes that they can vote themselves benefits, and accept crooked politicians to make it happen.

Let them fail, make them our bitches, and remind ourselves that someone has to actually produce something in order to pay for everything. Perhaps this distinct form of government will allow our republic to survive.

They will prove, once again, that increased tax rates do not increase tax revenue. That's what the liberals need to concentrate on - spending money. For them, it's not about maximizing revenue. If they knew how to do that, they'd have real jobs. It's about maximizing the pain for those who really do have real jobs. It's a punitive measure. By punishing the lucky, wealthy ones, they buy the votes of the lazy ones, thus ensuring that they achieve the ultimate goal - empower themselves at the expense of all others. That's the bottom line. Who's up for term limits for everyone? Let's do it!

That is their thinking behind illegal immigrants.. I mean un-documented workers or is it now un-documented guests; the next step is registered democrat voters.

Specially treated, manpower contributing, voluntary dignitaries from lands outside our own.

Exactly.

New York and New Jersey. NJ recently voted #50 of the 50 states for "business friendly." And yet, the current governor, who has proven himself time and time again to be utterly incompetent is running closely behind the challenger for the November gubernatorial election. If that doesn't show that the electorate is ignorant, then nothing does!

Best regards,

If they just spend some more money this will all get better.

The new Liberal Democrat Motto:
'From each according to his means, To each according his needs/voting record.'

This is without doubt, the most serious challenge this country has ever faced. We have successfully defended ourselves from attacks from abroad in past years, but this time the challenge is internal. Lets hope the constitution is strong enough to withstand the current onslaught of the socialist gov. in place in washington . Its going to be an interesting three years ahead.....

our constitution is strong. it's our people that aren't. fc3 is right on about the n.j. situation. california will re-elect the same poison yet again. illinois too. they will then complain about it.
"why is unemployment so high?" "why is the deficit so high?"

in the end, it will all be bush's fault.

higher taxes never work, never will.

The fact that a few well placed lawyers and judges were able to rewrite 200 years of contract and bankruptcy law in the GM & Chrysler cases is mind boggling to me. Then you add AIG and all the big banks, and the list goes on. Most people are against this activity but the gov. ignores this opinion and are busy trying to nationalize another one fifth of the economy in the health care bill. I could go on but I hate typing- I will close by saying if the federal gov. continues in its current path you will see civil disobedience regarding federal law on a massive scale in this part of the country.

The rest are here.

The only REAL question is: how long will the people keep believing that liberalism works? I'm amazed out how long people will support this crap even though they see the devastating results right before their very eyes...

Liberalism: 75% irresponsibility, 25% stupidity

just wait for these bozo's to pass government health care and cap and tax - I mean cap and trade. then once those same bozo's figure out that we cannot afford this, they will institute a VAT - value added tax. VAT is the stealth way to screw everyone without taking taxes directly out of our paycheck.

We need another Ronald Reagan! The Chicago School of Economics is not dead! We need to be reminded of the less government is better model
