The song thread...

Kenny chesney “you and tequila “ our ring tones for me and the wife. (Make me crazy) is the theme here.
Started listen to Kenny a few years ago, kicking and screaming, tied up, forced by my GF. I really like him now.

I see him as the next Jimmy Buffet, kind of.

I knew there was something odd about you ;)

Just kidding, love me some Sinatra. Saw Harry Connick Jr and Michael Bublé live, great artists and entertainers.

Alt-J seems very strange, odd at first. They grew on me, so much so we had tickets to see them 2 times live, COVID cancelled the shows though:

Yacht Rock, love me some Brandy:

Buckcherry, forgot about them. Saw them live about 12 years ago, I remember the lead guitarist, little skinny tatooed kid from what I remember ;-) I swear they were amped up on Coke or something, the energy level was out of control.

Saliva opened for them.

That was probably the other guitarist. Him and Keith would swap lead/rhythm. Keith is about 6'1 or so and a little over 200, probably closer to 220. He was 220 back in high school in football camp. I remember cause he was the biggest guy on our team...lol. We graduated in '87 then I saw him around 1991 and he was about 150lbs. He admitted he was on serious drugs pretty bad back then. He was at our 15 year class reunion in 2002 just before 3 of the original members left the band. He said now that he doesn't do drugs anymore he started buying vintage guitars.

My girlfriend looked up the words to Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville last night. I always thought he was saying pop-tart, when in fact he's saying pop top.

"Pop top" rhymes better with "flip flop", as in "blew out my..." How many songs have you heard through the years thinking they were one thing, then leaving a bad taste in your mouth once you actually find out what they were really saying?

Anything off of this one:

Someone above mentioned this song. Add this to my list...
That song brought back memories …. My kids are sea Ray snobs…. So when I got out of boating and I bought a pontoon….just to leave in the slip….. The kids lost their mind …..when we did get the kids on the pontoon…. I would play this song….so loud :D …the kids would scream dad stop

Child abuse man, nobody should ever subject any kids to those “not boats”

:D

I’m partially kidding... o_O

I don't know if I am weird/strange/different or what. I can listen to Miles Davis, Kenny Chesney, Metallica, Smooth Jazz, Bosa Nova, Yacht Rock, Bee Gees, Disco, etc. literally all in the same day. I don't have a favorite genre, it depends on the day, my mood, etc.

You lost me at Disco but other than that, I am in to a wide variety of music as well.
There is a lot of good stuff out there.
