96’ 400 Sedan Remodel….

Bought this boat late Sept 2009.…

When I bought this boat I said I would Not buy a 96’ (because of the White cabinets) and would not buy one with Gassers…Well I bought one with WHITE cabinets and GASSERS …And to top it off with a Lower Helm…So much for having a plan…

Now it was time for a MAJOR remodel…..Started by pulling all carpet, flooring, fabric and all cabinets, Window treatments closet doors mirrors and bathroom cabinet doors…..

I started by painting all the Oak door frames a cream color….I stained all the door edges to match the Cherry reface of the door and installed all new door hardware..

Next I removed the Lower Helm….With the lower Helm removed I added a 12” on to the base (where the lower helm was) and laid the new wood flooring..

Kitchen cabinets closet cabinets were all refaced in Cherry.. Kitchen counter tops resurfaced, new faucet and stove top, new Convection Microwave also new Kitchen floor(Wood) and new blinds in the Salon…New 32” TV in the Salon new Carpet, New Barrel Chairs (Flex Steel covered in Ultra Leather) to Starboard and new Incliners (Flex Steel covered in Ultra Leather) to Port…

Where the Lower Helm was I built a new L shaped couch with pull out draws and sent it out to be upholstered in Ultra Leather….

Master bed room….. We had all the upholstery replaced and also Had the closets refaced in Cherry along with dresser drawers… new carpet, blinds, and New mirrors. Also installed a new flat screen TV 19”

In the 2nd State room we also did everything, new Carpet, Refaced the cabinets, new upholstery and Final add new Electric outlets through out the boat where I thought Sea Ray forgot them!!

All in all a very BIG Winter project….I have over 800 HRS in to this…But well worth it as we are now back in the water and loving it!!

Spactacular! It's like a new boat inside.

I have about 12K so far..

I still have to come up with a table for the Salon....Other than that we are done!!!

That's pretty reasonable actually. It really changes the entire look of the boat and it will make the boat that much more enjoyable.

Awesome job again.

Very impressive. You must be ecstatic every time you go back on board.

We are.......We could not be more thrilled it is just like a new boat inside..

We also added new cock pit and bridge Carpet...along with a Bow Thruster!!

I just saw this thread. WOW...what a impressive job. I love it. Thanks for sharing.

Even though I was the last to post before the previous poster brought it back up I still am saying WOW. I looked at the pics again and am still very impressed. Looks like it went back to the factory for a refit! The choices of materials and colors are top notch.
I have to admit the lower helm was kinda cool though due to its rarity. Also be strange piloting on the port side.

It was a great summer on our "new" to us boat...

We finally come up with a Idea for the Salon table ...

I'm now in the process of building the table, and also a Wine and liquor Cabinet for the Salon..

I will post picks when I'm done.

Thanks Todd

Well it was a long Winter, but we are back in the water....Finished a few projects this past winter, built a new table stand for the the salon and a new Liquor Cabnet...

The stand I built was a fun project.. Went down to my local steel supplier and got the materials I needed for the stand went home and started cutting and welding ( I copied the one Sea Ray ) I have a whole bunch of hours in to this project lots lots of sanding of the welds, I wanted them to look like they grew right out of the steel!! When I was done brought it to my local chroming guy...He only took 4 months to complete:smt021 Good thing I brought it to him in January..... But did come out good. While he was Chroming the stand, I built the table ....

Then I started the Liquor Cabinet that took about a month....View attachment 19265View attachment 19267View attachment 19266View attachment 19268

I just have to finish the lower Salon table...

He are some Pic's
