There's a text message going around (we just got it) that says Tide brand detergent mail samples are laced with anthrax. This text was forwared a ton of times so people are obviously freaking out about it. Everything on Tides website says it's a hoax & just a rumor that some idiots started.

It seems like we are all so jumpy & paranoid anymore about every stupid little thing, no matter how ridiculous it may seem or sound. Isn't that what the terrorists want?

Yes I know it's a different world since 9-11 & more things have to be taken into consideration with this sort of thing, but it seems like we're afraid of our own shadows anymore.

One things for sure, the dumb a$$'s who start this sort of thing should have the $hit beat out of them.

Why bother, just max out your credit, buy bigger boats, new cars and know you never have to pay them off! I should have bought a 480DB, I could pay on that for a couple of years. Buy a fancy condo in a big tower and have the boat in the marina out front, maybe in the Carribean...

2 more years to go...I could spend a lot of money!

Do you remember the poison laced Tylenol deaths a few years back? There are a bunch of really crazy folks out there.

When I was growing up there was a scare that was going around about candy apples having razor blades embedded in them.

Most of the time its just some bozo that thinks its funny to pull the fire alarm and skip school.

Then of course there is the "Corn" scare...that really had folks up in arms. :smt101

I think you are 100% correct. The person or persons who start this kind of crap on texting and emails deserve the crap beaten out of them and their fingers broken, and I personal would not have a problem doing it.

In my high school years I lived through the era of bomb scares. Every time you turned around a building was being evacuated because a bomb threat was being called it. It got to the point who cared. Let them blow up the damn building I am not going out side it is -10 below zero. I really dont buy into those threatening texts or emails that float around like pond scum. I do how ever go online and check them out right away, and if I cant find info there I call the non emergency law enforcement #. It isnt for me, but I have a family and they have families. I still have a responsibility to keep them safe.

I don't know what drives someone to do something like that, even in my most dastardly, devious years, the worst I ever did was tip some cows. There are some sick folks out there.
