What’s up with Lake Minnetonka? Don’t the boaters up there know when it’s time to put the toys away for winter? ie; Chris Craft Roamer(Seanote)
The Sea Note is parked in a boat yard 3 miles east of where it was stuck on the boat ramp last winter. Major hull damage, I’m guessing it will never be on the water again.
We find ourselves pushing through ice on occasion. Not at the level this guy is but ice none the less. It has never left a mark on the gelcoat. What worries me when having to do so is the wood and other debris that you can't see suspended under it. On the coast up here, there is a lot of fresh water dumping in. It takes a bit to mix with the saltwater so lays on the surface until it does. It will start to freeze at about -2 C in the back of the longer channels. Eary feeling waking up on the hook and the boat is absolutely motionless.
Here’s another update from the frozen Sea Ray from Qualified Captain… https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cld6uWyOOta/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=
All the channel markers are pulled, looks like he could of hit a rock pile, the lake is down 2’ . We will need Turbine Guy down there to investigate LOL.
For those that enjoyed Turbine Guy from the Sea Note “Frozen in on lake Minnetonka” I found Turbine Guys e-mail and he’s heading out to investigate. Too funny!! http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php...-day-3-trying-to-pull-big-chris-craft.107408/
Glad to see that USCG has added to their icebreaker fleet. They need some more ships in that department.
