I am considering the purchase of the 1977 24 foot SRC, that is the hardtop cruiser model not the sedan bridge. The boat is in amazing condition however the power package is the original 235 hp OMC Ford and a stringer outdrive. I know I will need to repower at some point in time and from everything I've read going from an OMC drive to a MerCruiser outdrive requires filling in the transom and cutting a whole new hole. Does anyone out there know how difficult this would be or if it is even possible any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you
