The New Boat Curse

Grrrrrr....... we closed on our 2004 300DA about 6 weeks ago. First weekend was a tropical gusty washout. Second weekend a stomach virus attacked my wife and son. Third weekend we had a great day on the boat but realized the tilt helm mechanism was about to give out. Next two weekends waiting on the part and repair (two perfect weather weekends of course). This weekend, yet another windy tropical mess on the Gulf Coast.Patience. I need to get some.

Just be grateful you have a 12 month boating season. Losing one month out of 12 isn't so bad. Imagine you lived up north where you had six months of boating season. Grateful for small things!

This is a very clique ish group of old folk set in their ways, nervous, timid, overly prepared, highly educated, and don't really want to hear any whining.
If you want to vent go over to THT, that site might be a better fit for you/
