The future of EVs? Maybe not so bad?

This same issue came up in MN, which is far from a conservative state. (Which I believe is what @jmauld is trying to imply)
We have a very strong car dealer lobby in IL. Tesla had to sue to get it's dealer licenses. Rivian, now has to as well. Heck, car dealers are still closed on Sunday's here.

Typical Democrat. You said "states have banned sales of EVs." You can provide no such evidence. Instead, you misrepresent the truth which is that some states have rules and regs regarding ownership of car dealerships, and thus the Tesla sales model isn't approved. Has nothing to do with selling electric vehicles -- in fact such regs have existed before electric cars where even a thing. Chevy can sell as many Volts as it wants. Nissan can sell as many Leafs as it wants. Ford can sell as many Lightnings as it wants. Etc.

Look at the map that I posted. Many of these are new regulations directed specifically at Tesla.

Proposed legislation that removes their ability to even service the cars in their state.

Teslas are EVs. I’m sorry if you misinterpreted by statement to mean ALL EVs. I didn’t say all.

also, a Volt isn’t an EV.

I thought republicans were in favor of a free market?

So does that mean we should get rid of murder laws? Thou shalt not kill, afterall.
No, because the government has a duty to protect its “citizens”. There’s no religious conflict there.

Now, tell me when does a child becomes a citizen?

Tesla’s are EVs. I’m sorry if you misinterpreted by statement.

Sure you're not on Tesla's payroll? You seem to be pumping them up real good...

They are not banning EVs. Typical trolling BS from you.

Okay, so that map of states where Tesla can’t sell cars without doing some ridiculous work around is a lie?

orrrrr. You’re okay with limiting market access when it suits you?

Yes it is, when used to support the contention that states have banned the sales of EVs. They have done no such thing and you know it. You know it's about the sales model and not the product. That's called trolling.

It is also about the product, or else they wouldn’t go after the service centers as well.

and this is happening right now. This California bullshit is hopes and dreams, and that’s all it will be until at least 2035.

You're obvious clueless about the Auto Dealer Lobby.

I am aware of dealer lobbies, and the power that they possess. I think we even discussed them previously in this thread, or maybe it was another.

And it’s convenient to use them as a scapegoat, when the party line is anti-EVs. I will give the R’s credit for using the tools at their disposal. Why is it that you won’t address the fact that the Rs are not pushing for a free market? Isn’t that their thing?

You have got to be one of the top 10 trolls on the internet. You go from the lie that states are banning the sale of EVs to Republicans aren’t for a free market. Tesla had the same issues in deep blue IL and had to sue. So it ain’t a Republican issue.

Democrats don’t pretend to support a free market.

Conception...

Okay. So pregnant women can declare them on their taxes

illegals can claim they conceived the baby here, birthed it in their home country and now the baby is a US citizen.

miscarriages at any point would make the mother a murderer.

smoking/drinking after sex is now child abuse.

Like I said — Troll.
You never even tried to answer my question and you call me a troll. Remember you guys all got triggered when I said I was flipping for this vote. And one of the very reasons is because republicans don’t hold true to their charter. You won’t even address the idea, that republicans aren’t being try to themselves. Instead you immediately jump to how bad democrats are.
