You mean 5 gallons of capitalistic poison ?I've seen pictures of roadside service vehicles with just such a device.
Isn't it MUCH easier to deliver a 5 gallon can when someone runs out of gas?

The ability to discharge faster means you can get more immediate power out of the same size pack. Useful for racing, not for long trips.Wouldn't faster discharge be a disadvantage? Understand faster charging is good. But running one down faster sounds counterintuitive and not good.
-6 isn’t a reason to avoid EVs. It’s a reason to move!-6 this morning in Michigan….wonder how far you get after your ev sat out all night
Golf, I can’t hit ‘like’ a million times so I will reply it’s gonna be a chit show. Every thing you said times a million!EVs are great as an option for those that the vehicle fits. But the current forced adoption is a recipe for disaster. They are a suburban vehicle. I don’t see how they’ll work in a city like Chicago where everyone parks on the street. Or in rural areas where people dive a lot of miles. Not to mention the power grid isn’t anywhere near ready. And the environmental disaster that is mining for the minerals to make the batteries.
Mark - here's a Mercedes model to look at:It seems like we are gravitating towards EV for our next new car. Really interested in the new Mecerdes EQS.
It's not because of climate change considerations. It is purely and singularly about the experience driving and riding in the vehicle.
That’s the one I was thinking of!
11 LML. 141k. Mine doesnt have any def, egr, or particulate filter either. What year duramax you have? I have an 08 (the year before they added def) that I bought new, has 260k miles on it. I deleted the exhaust filter, and put a tuner on it. I’ll probably drive it til they put me in the ground.
Not in Canada though. Here is our current source of electricity. We are blessed with lots of hydroelectric capacity (and still some untapped capacity in the north). Our power prices are still too high though.60% of the electric in the United States is generated by fossil fuel which will not change because it's needed for demand and reliability . With that said the cost ,slow recharge, Limited range, cost of and limited raw supplies needed to make batteries and the fact recycling of used up batteries is still unknow all are reason EV will not replace combustion engines. If everyone own's a EV car across America plugs in after 6:00 to get charged this will eliminate Off Peak time for generation. Off Peak is when the US. manufacturing saves money on their electric bill . If you take that savings away from them we will all pay the the price for it. Remember those 60% Power Plants will fill the void not Wind or Solar. Now here in the East because of the rust belt the Grid and what's left of all the Power Plants the supply will not be a problem Mid and the West can't say that.
Still too high??????????Not in Canada though. Here is our current source of electricity. We are blessed with lots of hydroelectric capacity (and still some untapped capacity in the north). Our power prices are still too high though.

Is that all Canada or just Ontario? I thought Ontario's mix was higher in nukes. Labrador has a ton of 'real' hydro but no where to send it.Not in Canada though. You have to ask what time of day… He might be washing and drying clothes after midnight. It’s insane… you won’t get a real answer…. Everyone is differentIs that all Canada or just Ontario? I thought Ontario's mix was higher in nukes. Labrador has a ton of 'real' hydro but no where to send it.
Just curious what your "all-in" cost per kW is... final bill divided by total kW (so that includes taxes or any other fees) ?
We don’t do anything strange. Ontario residential power is priced based on time of use. 3 parts to the day:You have to ask what time of day… He might be washing and drying clothes after midnight. It’s insane… you won’t get a real answer…. Everyone is different
Where did you hear that? You say that like its a common thing. Its not. Two of my clients are Hydro One and Toronto Hydro. Stolen power is virtually non-existent. That I can 100% guarantee you. And they catch it very quickly because of excess loss on particular substations. Generally it is found to be Mary-Jane grow-ops tapping in before the meter.Still too high??????????
Canada is the only place I have heard of people stealing electricity.
How can you say that? That I can 100% guarantee you. .
I'm thinking you meant "12.3¢" Here in south Idaho, power runs 7.9¢/KwH USD except for the three summer months when it goes to 8.5¢. Most of our power is hydro-electric. However, the dams that create the power have been blamed for disrupting the salmon migrations, and many are being slated for breaching. It sometimes seems as if there's no winning and that the Luddites are doing all they can to take us into an almost Amish-like form of society. On the other hand, I can't help but feel that pulling such massive amounts of hydrocarbon fuel up out of the ground where it's been sequestered all these years and releasing into the atmosphere can't be good....so that is US$12.30 per KWH blended, all in. Not sure how that compares to you in the US.
You are wrong on power. And I guess some people buy cigarettes on reserve if they live near a reserve. But most don’t.How can you say that?
Who ever you are believing is wrong. My point is the cost of electric in Canada forces people to steal…. Not unlike taxes forcing you to buy cigarettes from the Indians … is that not true as well ?
