So you've all seen all the polls I've run over the last six months and some mention of the book I'm working so here it goes. Now that some of the preliminary copyright work is out of the way, I'll let you know what it is. This is not the final cover (it is being redone by a professional) but this is what was passed to them:
It's basically a book that covers the aspects of cruising that I've never seen anywhere else from a "reality" point of view. It covers things like boat systems, route planning, spares, safety, meal planning, activities, weather, pets, etc but with a little twisted humor and commentary. It also has the New England trip logs in the Appendix...
It's also meant to be a "feel good" and funny book in the midst of this gloomy world right now. If we can't make fun of ourselves, who can we make fun of? Well.. Skip and his kid... who landed on the front cover but that's another story.
So that's it. I'm hoping to have it on the market by the end of Feb. Some people have been kind enough to review it for me and that will happen after the editor fixes some of the grammar errors. She starts this week.
