For those interested in the conditions in the panhandle area of Florida....we have been here since Thursday and rented a pontoon boat yesterday from Sea Horse Rentals at St. Joe Marina. Following are some pictures I took while we were out.
The first two are on the beach at our house in Mexico Beach (actually Beacon Hill in Gulf County). In the background you can see the boom they have deployed that stretches over to the point at Cape San Blas, hopefull providing some protection for the mouth of St Joe Bay.

The next two are snorkelling in the bay and a picture of a big conch shell.

As you can see, for the moment things are great. Keeping our fingers crossed. Maybe some other folks in the area will chime in with what they are seeing.
