Another crappy year of not much boating. Mabey i should get a trawler.

This makes me sad, next season has to be better…

Left home port 1:30 on Saturday

Arrived at Bayfield about 6:45, some mist and fog for about 40 miles.

Boat was put in the shed about 11:00 this morning. The season is over for me.

Last weekend on the boat, this weekend. Time to defrost the fridge and freezer, get a final pump out and add some fuel treatment to the tanks. Have a couple of small projects to work on during the winter layup and trying to figure out where to go next season for some trips. Lake Huron or Lake Erie, we will see.
Have a great off season.

You are always welcome down my way. Be good to get together again next summer
Looks like I am moving Marinas too. Unfortunately all have me on waiting lists…. Not good

It would be great to get together again next season. We will still plan trips up into Lk Huron, but we are thinking of spending a few weekends down your way!
Have a great off season.

Mine was hauled out yesterday. I felt completely out of control. The storage facility took care of the entire process. They got the boat out of the PO's marina, ran it to the marina they use to load it on a trailer and then then indoors for the winter. This was already set up with the PO and being so late I really had no other choice. It was an uncomfortable feeling not being in control of the haul out and all. It was supposed to happen Monday but the weather/wind delayed it until yesterday. I'll head down next week (it's almost 3 hours from my house) and sit down with them and go over the To Do List to be completed over the next 5 months. At least the getting the boat into heated storage concern is behind me.

Why was your season bad? We rarely had a day with winds under 15 knts and as a new owner, I was scared to take it out. Hopefully next year will be just a tad less breezy.

Fortunately we have not had any hurricanes this year.

Me too :(

Well wind ,rain then the day we were leaving on vacation for a week wifes back went out. Then i had no first mate for the rest of the summer to fight the wind and rain. Then huge storm at home no power for a while ,i did get to buy a new gennerator for the house though (LOL not). Dinghy motor acting up replaced both coils ran fine for a week now it has other issues. Boss had a hinge and plate put in his foot and a few skin cancer spots worked on. I could continue but i have many leaves to rake and i just got home from a funeral.Feel free to chuckle ,i did.

1956, I feel your pain. We've had trips like that and the best thing you can say about it is you've "had" trips like that. They can't all be bad so put all that negative stuff behind you and start making plans for a great next summer. I wish I could be there to enjoy your next summer with you.

Mike

In. Cold storage. Winterized.
