When you wake up from a sound sleep in a pitch black space and look towards your feet… Sh!t.. I don’t see the SMX climate control lights. The power must be out. I really don’t want to have to go out to the pillar and reset the breaker… it’s like 35 degrees out there… but you start to get out of your berth anyway…

and when your feet hit the floor, you realize that you are at home and not the boat and there are no SMX climate LEDs in your bedroom..

When we still had the 310 Da. every once in awhile I would turn into the side of the hull to get up out of the bed.

Being that "at home" on the boat is one of the best parts of larger boat ownership.

A few weeks ago I went down into the cabin in the pitch dark, went right into a galley cabinet and grabbed a pack of smokes. I couldn't see my hand in front of my face.

I only realized that I had done so without turning on a light when I was back on the dock.
