Recommended way to replace/seal this? Guessing there's an official Taylor made one that costs oodles, but I'm sure there are some much more affordable methods. Pipe insulation? But that probably dries in the sun too much.

Mine came with some missing, and the ones still in there..musta shrank with age.

Searayman on eBay sold me a bunch. It’s 6-7 bucks per foot.

Looks like screw slot cover. Searayman13 or Taylor or maybe an RV shop.

Yeah screw slot cover may be a better search term. I notice screw cover foam seems to just bring up sticky foam strip which covers the screw heads. I need to fill that big "gap" there, right now it just collects a tonna water. The side windows and center window have soft foam in there, which has shrunk and still allows water to pool up in there. But I notice on some neighboring newer boats it's not foam but hard rubber that seems to snap into those big channels.

The new stuff is rubber. There are 3 styles depending on the boat and if you have stainless trim or aluminum frame.

I bought mine from Taylormade directly. They sold it by the foot and it is an easy job to do. In 2010 it was $5 a foot for the windshield and $4 a foot for the side glass.

I called taylormade. They had a part number and knew how much I needed. They sell it but I think I used the part number and may have bought it else where. Also, my windshield had two different sizes. The center is different from the rest of the shield. When you replace it stuff as much as you can in there. The product will shrink over time.

So until I save up enough money to purchase the "real deal" inserts...this past weekend I made a quick poor-mans fix. Went to Lowes and spent a whopping 4 dollars on 4x 4' legths of pipe insulation. Yup...4 bucks! And 30 minutes of my time.

Cut about 1/3 out of the foam, length wise. Worked it in. After the pics, later in the evening as my wine kicked in, I massaged it a bit to get out the gaps/spaces..and it looks fairly decent for a poor mans quick fix. If I get a year out of it..cool! But at least it keeps a quart of water from building up in those trenches. May slide them out and quickly coat with that canvas top waterproofing..might cut down on some sun damage.

How I sliced it

An empty trench on the side after removing the original shrunken foam insert

Front..the curved side is done, the original foam still in the center vent window, about to be removed.

Captains windshield! (I later massaged out that gap and actually pulled it and stuck a sliver of foam behind it to fill it in tighter)

Hey, I have an 03’ 360 and looking to replace the same windshield screw cover gasket. How did the pipe insulation hold up and did you have to use any adhesive to keep it in there? I was taking of spray painting the insulation before I pack it in there. Thanks

Taylormade has a new vinyl piece that fits in there instead of the rubber foam. Looks better. Still about $5 a foot though. There are two part numbers / sizes - and sometime you might need both.

One of the images shows both the 030 and 040 part numbers.

If you have not removed and sealed the screws, now would be the time. Remove every other screw, apply sealant to the screw hole and threads, and screw back into place. Then go back and do the others.

Yeah. Definitely will be resealing the screws. Thanks.

Very good idea
