So I floated the idea of turkey sandwiches on the bay-----
She didn't go for it. First Thanks Giving in years that I'm not eating in some far far away mess hall. But now I'm stuck in the back yard smoking a turkey.

Just got back from running the Turkey Trot. Getting ready for round one in about an hour - a few hours of rest and Turkey coma then round two.

JVM, what is a "splash date"? Is that where you toss your girlfriend or wife off the dock?

Kind of, but except instead of just throwing her off the dock the travel lift gently lowers my girlfriend back in to her natural habitat.

Now THAT I can relate to. Having your girlfriend in her natural habitat is something to behold. My GW and I have been decorating my girlfriend to prepare for the Christmas Lighted Boat Parade.

I liken it to putting on her makeup so she can strut her stuff.

Lol... I got lucky in that department. My wife's parents are awesome. We live pretty far apart so it's always something we look forward to when they come for a visit.
