Thank you!

Good words, Scott; but that being said, anyone with 100 or more posts ought to cough up a few bucks each year for the site.... just the right thing to do... like buying beer for your buddies after they help put the dock in, launch your boat, etc.

Guy's
I never really thought about it because you do not beat folks up for it. I seen the sponsor medallions but had to try and find where to apply. Didn't know it was in the profile.

Having made a feeble attempt at an excuse, I agree that a little skin in the game makes you accountable and anyone like me with 1000+ posts since joining this past year should man up.

I will become a sponsor by weeks end. Thanks for the nudge on this Bridog.

So this idea here let’s charge the people who actually sit down and take the time to help a fellow member with some intellectual information, yea that’s a real good idea. I put together a web site for the folks at our Marina. I build it; I maintain it, and most of all I pay for it. So I have a pretty good idea of what it takes to build and maintain one. The one thing I can tell you, a good site is one that has active member participation!

Bill, who said anything about charging? This is a donation. If you don't think it is worth $25 a year, then don't make the donation. It is quite black and white, and no soap box is necessary.

I need to jump on the soap box once in awhile, it's good for the blood pressure

All donations will give you additional benefits for 1 year from the date of your donation to include additional photo storage,PM storage, and a nice logo below your username to show you support the best boating enthusiast site on the net!
Theres also other perks

Thank you for all the insights that CSR peeps have shared over the years. I was heart broken when the original SRO site went down, and equally overjoyed when I found CSR. I can only hope that in between my twisted sense of humor, I have been able to help as many folks as have helped me.

Scott, you are so right. I have also have learned from this site and also remember the SRO days. It is a wealth of information and you can also find some humor in it also. (pig) The winters here can be so long.

Hey!! How bout the technical medallion?! Where can I find info on it?

Post a detail technical thread and send a link to Jim for him to include it in the "Club Level Section" that is only seen by sponsors.

Bill, if you look at the top of the page next to the burgee you will see a tab that says "support this site". Click and you will find the link to donate to the site.

This came up a couple of years ago.......my sponsorship expired & the only way I know about it is I notice I'm seeing a lot of crap on the site I don't normally see. We need to have some type of notification system in place...maybe some type of auto-renewal or something.

Too be honest, I like seeing the "crap”….. Especially the young thing with the dingy lift!
