Over the past 8 weeks, I have been involved in both the sale of my Sea Ray and the purchase of an Egg Harbor. This all finally concluded this weekend. As you can tell from the duration of this process, it was NOT simple. Because of the dollars involved, I enlisted the help of friends, experts and professionals as I wanted to make sure that I conducted myself appropriately and, most importantly, that the boat I purchased was all that was advertised.
Soon after I spoke with the broker, I asked for the help of fellow CSR member Fwebster. As a Sea Ray ambassador and someone who simply enjoys all aspects of boating, he willingly got involved and endured my panicked phone calls, my 1000 “what if’s”, and all of the late night emails while always providing calm unbiased advice and guidance as the due diligence process progressed; all of this to someone who he had never even met, and from 1000 miles away.
This is what CSR and its valued members is all about. This site can be a wealth of good advice and information to the avid boater. While I am no longer a Sea Ray owner, I will continue to monitor and value this forum and those members who bring a real dedication to our pastime. While we all like a good joke and some great photos etc., the real value of CSR is in the knowledge of Sea Rays, their systems, their common problems and the corresponding solutions that many of these high level members have and can provide to the rest of us.
Thank you Frank!
