I blew it on the weight of gasoline. I was told that aviation fuel was just under 8lbs, but the gas we use in the vehicles is less. That I did not know.

I f***ed up on the weight of the gasoline as well. I took a quick stab at it instead of actually taking the time and doing some mental math. Our gallons are larger than yours and I know that our gas weighs in at roughly 7-1/4 pounds per imperial gallon. That should bring a US gallon in at around 6 pounds using a factor of .833
