have a 1988 26'8 Sundancer...when taking the boat out for it's initial spin last weekend..thought the engine was over heating as the temp gauge was at about 3/4..kept an eye on it and it didn't increase any..when I turned the boat off, all gauges obviously went back to zero on the dash except the temp gauge..was relieved that it was a gauge issue and not engine-related..I tapped on the glass of the gauge and it crept down a bit..is there an easy fix for this?..can I pop the glass cover off and apply a tiny bit of wd-40 or something else to the needle area? ..any suggestions?
