Depends on how many hours. Put in a marine 160, change your oil and then keep an eye on it

Hey Everyone,
I got the new 160 thermostat today.
In the housing I noticed some rubber or silicone lodged inside one of the ports. I had to use a power washer and a bent screwdriver to get it all out. Please see pic for reference. I’m assuming the housing should have no rubber or silicone of any kind inside to cause obstruction? Can someone verify before I install the new parts?
Thank you
Corey
