FYI, you could also remove the appropriate rubber hose from that water manifold. If a good stream of pink come out there and doesn't seem like it's going to stop, you know that the rest of the pathway is clear. Put your finger over the plastic nipple to keep pink from escaping form the other direction. Sometimes, after the initial drain, I'll pull those hoses off and watch for pink to come out as I pour some pink into the block. It wastes a little pink stuff, but it's awful cheap/easy insurance.
