My wife is in San Francisco on business (got there the day before the crash landing) and had to be at the Fort Point today. She got lucky and got a picture of the team practicing with Alcatraz in the background.

Very cool picture. Not sure if anyone here follows Top Gear UK but the USA team had one of their vessels in a race against a car on the new episode last night. Those boats are incredible. Fully carbon fiber and the fixed sail is bigger than a 747 I think they said, I could be wrong, but very impressive.

I agree, the boats are incredible. I know that there are a lot of people that miss the 12m boats but I think that the Cup is really exciting this year. The videos of the boats hitting close to 50 on their foils are amazing. I have a brother with a home in the Marina District and I plan to be out there at least twice this summer. The final is scheduled on my birthday so that seems like a must-do if the schedule holds.
