I just had this teak made for the head on the 290. I will post high res before and after pics when I upload them from my camera.

I couldn't be happier. I'm getting one more piece made to go behind the toilet to give it a more finished look and better depth.

Captain Rich at www.goodalemarine.com did a fantastic job! No affiliation, just a happy customer. He now has the templates for the late model 290's if anyone is interested. He has others, but if not, making the template is a snap. Just trace it with plastic. Turnaround time . . . . 3 days and it was here! I've seen some of his other work and he's very creative.

Looks good. Whats something like that set you back?

How does it follow the contours of the floor? That is my concern and is there anything to prevent marring the floor? It looks great.

No worry at all about marring the floor. The support braces that come in contact with the floor have padded strips attached that make it grip the floor especially due to the non-skid. The edges don't touch the sides of my shower walls based on the template that was made and my head floor seems to be flat. The wood has no give or bend and doesn't move the slightest bit. It has a solid secure feel and theres nothing to make it feel like its not permanently part of the structure. In fact, I think it feels more solid than then the real floor! I wouldn't have been happy with a sloppy feel and this is nothing like that.

I'll leave price quotes to the builder. Its not like buying from walmart.

1". 1/2" for the deck pieces and 1/2" for the cross braces. Made no noticeable difference in my case but it was a concern so he used a slightly thinner cross brace of 1/2" instead of 3/4".

You are the Brookville lake "upgrade" king! Looks great.
