I have a 2008 340 Sundancer. The teak table in the back of the boat is faded. I would appreciate any suggestions for products to use on it. I wanted to get it treated with polyurethane, but it is cost prohibitive.

I used totalboat's gleam product on my cockpit table and it worked beautifully. after sanding the table down to remove the stains/imperfections I followed the directions to a "T" and got great results with 6 coats of gleam.

Unfortunately I didn’t take a before pic but it was faded and ugly.

Can you post a pic of the table in its current state?

There are quite a few products out there that will clean the teak. I’ve used starbrite products with great success in the past. If there is no damage to the teak like cracking or splintering that would be the way to go. Then keeping the wood oiled properly really does the best job with teak. Using polyurethane or varnish will give you a shine, for a while. But, it will eventually yellow, crack and begins to peel, and then you’ll have to do a whole lot of sanding to get it right again.

I used Rustoleum marine SPAR varnish on mine. It turned our pretty good. I did I think around 4 coats. My table was some sort of composite teak, not true teak planks. So I'm not sure if it would be different for real teak plank.
