I was wandering around a neighboring marina yesterday and saw a new Formula with this very attractive teak cover on the swim deck. I dont think it was actual teak, just some sort of plating. Anyone know where to get this teak/fake teak covering material? I would love to put this teak cover on the back of my 260DA.

thank you for the info guys. I've sent an email into both about pricing.

Tonka - where are you slipped on Tonka? My bro-in-law brings his boat out there all the time so we occasionally go out there. Wouldn't mind taking our soon to be 260 out of our marina and over to Tonka for a weekend or two.

Justin,

Rene Munnell does the nuteak installs for the distributor that has this area (Gary Cates) who is based in chicago. Rene just finished my interior. I love the look of Tonka's swim platform (not sure who did his).

To follow up on Wolverine's info....

My platform is Flexiteek and the local installer is Boateek Customs (http://www.boateekcustoms.com/)

I'm slipped on Brown's Bay across from Marine Max. I'm to the left of the gazebo in slip 22. Can't miss me, I'm the 2nd boat in. Stop by and say "hey" if you see me out there.

An update on the Nu-Teak install. The Distributor of Nuteak in chicago used a sub in Minnesota to do the work. While it took a while to get going, the product looked great and then the sub ran into financial difficulties. My work is about 90 percent complete, but I can't get the last ten percent done. I have corresponded several times with the distributor of NuTeak in Chicago and NuTeak Corporate has been on the CC. Still no resolution and no response on the last two emails. NuTeak corporate has never once weighed in with a response let alone a resolution. Very disappointed and from my personal perspective I can't see suggesting that anyone use them especially since there are other alternatives out there. Too bad, love the look, hate the service!

If you do a search here on either product, you'll find a ton of posts.

Nu-Teak here on mine, done by Patrick of Nu-Teak Mid Atlantic. We worked together to add the custom engraved Sea Ray.

WolverineDreaM - Post some pics of your interior. I am headed to Florida at the end of the month to become a installer and distributor for Flexiteek. I have been negotiating with them for about two and half months now.

Joe....I will let you do my boat for free and you can take all the pictures you want to use for advertising...DEAL?
