Considered bamboo?

May be cheaper.

What is the half moon in the center of the table?[/QUOTE

The price seems right on this one. Around $250 plus shipping. The table is split so it can be folded in half. This gives you more access to seating.

Henry Boyd is a very good craftsman. He has made tables for others I believe.
I made mine for my cockpit table. It's been great and made the aft cockpit seating much more usable than the factory round one that in my opinion is too small and unusable for 4 people.
I just re-used the hardware of the table and screwed it to the mahogany top.

A friend of mine lasered if for me with the logo of Nehalennia

and another friend that is a painter did the catalyzed clear coat(like a bar pour).
I'm very happy with it and the clear has been extremely durable.

The half moon is where the table folds in half. The photo just before the one in the link looks just like my stock table. On the bottom of the half moon is where the mount for the post would go.

That is one sweet table!

Henry makes some great looking tables. I just can't afford him. Wish I could.

What size did your table end up being? Now that you've had it a season would you have made it any longer/shorter?

i'll measure it later tonight when I get home, but I think it's 32" x 20"ish. It works perfect for it's size and area it's working in. I wouldn't want it any bigger or there would be more bruises on the thighs.
I measured it last night and it's 34" x 19 3/4"
