Taylor Made window seals

I need to replace the window seals in my 1990 DA 250. I have Taylor Made windows, so I called them and they told me that I have to go through a Sea Ray dealer to get my seals. They have a contract with sea ray and can't sell them to the public. Has anyone heard of this before? Seems like I have read on here the people have ordered directly from them.

If you own a SeaRay you've got to buy through a dealer.

If you own a boat using a windshield they sold to SeaRay but also got installed on other vessels (even odd ball custom ones where the windshield was from a salvaged SeaRay) they will sell to you since you can't buy from a SeaRay dealer without a SeaRay HIN....

So.. if told them I had a different brand of boat and wanted to use their seals, they would sell them to me?
