Tiara uses something very similar to this system. It is tlhe number one warranty item for Tiara and they only replace it one time. Virtually 100% failure rate. I replaced mine in 2005 with a Tank Tender which gives you a very precise measure of holding tank and fresh water tank levels. It cost about $400 and has paid for itself many times over by avoiding unneeded pump outs which cost around $10-$25 in this area. We used to pump out about every week. Now we go 10 days when cruising and 8 weeks when just putzing around our small lake.
I felt that there may have been a problem. Cost for the system is low. Ad says that sensors work off of pressure related to how much fluid is in the tank. It is one of those deals where you get what you pay for. In this case, it sounds like junk. Good to know beforehand.
