My two lounge seats in my 96 SeaRay 175 i/o are shot. The vynil and frames are falling apart. I hate that they are so low as well. I have to sit up on the top of the seatback to see over the hull when pulling a skier. That also contributes to the wear.

I want to get taller seats to replace the onces that I have so I can stay seated when pulling. I know that this means that my face would be above the cockpit all the time, but that is fine with me. Does anyone know what the maximum height I can increase the seat is? Or has anyone done this and found a good height that works better than the factory seats? The factory seats are right at 12" high to the top of the seat.

I was looking at this company, Vaeda, to buy some new seats from. They look very nice and the vinyl they sell matches perfectly. The ones I am looking at are 18" high to the top of the seat (link below). That is a big difference. I just want to make sure I dont overdo it.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I used Aveda last year and I was very pleased. The only negative was that the foam in the seats could have been more dense, but for what I was willing to pay I was very happy. I bought a doubl wide captain seat and a larger cruiser front to back seat. I also purchased the same vinyl from them and had the rest of my boat (trim and back bench) recovered locally to match. My interior looks brand new!

Thanks. Did you go back with the same height seats or taller?

I ordered mine a little taller. I also had a flip up front bolster for the captains chair- much easier to stand when needed.
If I can figure out how to post pictures I will.

Awesome. Nice pictures. Thank you!

I have used Veada a few times for seats and have been very pleased with their end product. Reasonable priced as well.

Hey: Am in process of replacing my front to back seat with a capt chair from Veada. How did you install yours? thanks!

I installed new front/back seats in my 76 SRV200 and built a box frame out of 1X8 and covered them in vinyl for the seats set on top if. The hight is perfect for my boat.
Check them out on my profile.
