My two lounge seats in my 96 SeaRay 175 i/o are shot. The vynil and frames are falling apart. I hate that they are so low as well. I have to sit up on the top of the seatback to see over the hull when pulling a skier. That also contributes to the wear.
I want to get taller seats to replace the onces that I have so I can stay seated when pulling. I know that this means that my face would be above the cockpit all the time, but that is fine with me. Does anyone know what the maximum height I can increase the seat is? Or has anyone done this and found a good height that works better than the factory seats? The factory seats are right at 12" high to the top of the seat.
I was looking at this company, Vaeda, to buy some new seats from. They look very nice and the vinyl they sell matches perfectly. The ones I am looking at are 18" high to the top of the seat (link below). That is a big difference. I just want to make sure I dont overdo it.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
